The median asking price for a two-bedroom apartment near Madison Square Park is $2,995,000, according to StreetEasy. That makes this apartment, 39 East 29th St., #17A, at exactly the same price point, but with three bedrooms, look pretty appealing. The building, Twenty9th Park Madison, is in the northern part of Nomad, the area between Madison Square Park and Park Avenue on 29th Street.

The kitchen has lacquered cabinets, a grey Caesarstone countertop and Miele and Sub Zero appliances. There’s no breakfast bar in the kitchen but the space leads into the living/dining area with floor-to-ceiling south-facing windows overlooking the city.

The 1,695-square-foot apartment opens into a foyer and a sizable hallway with a storage closet. There’s enough room for a place to put coats and keys when you walk in.

The master bed has an en-suite bathroom as well as a walk-in closet. Uniquely, the closet gets some natural light from a window. The apartment’s second bedroom also has an adjoining bathroom with a window, shower and a tub. There’s a washer/dryer in the hallway between the second and third bedrooms.

The pet-friendly building, completed in 2008, is well served by transit options and a few blocks from the 6, N, R, W trains. There’s an elevator, live-in super, doorman, fitness center, a shared roof terrace, a bike room and a garage in the building.

Monthly common charges are $2,097 and there’s a brief window for some tax savings with a 421-a abatement on the condo, which expires in 2020.
