This 120-year-old townhouse is the priciest listing in Hamilton Heights

In September, we took a look at Hamilton Heights, a subsection of Harlem where property values have been soaring. This four-bedroom, four-bath townhouse has soared particularly high. Listed by Corcoran for $5.25 million, the priciest in the neighborhood, the house last sold for just $1.125 million in 2013.

The nearly 5,000 square foot house has a rich history, not to mention an 860-bottle wine room in the basement.

Since it was built in 1898, the house has had only three owners, and directors have noticed its appeal: several TV shows and movies have filmed here, including Law and Order and the Julianne Moore film Still Alice. Huge windows, prewar details, and high-end fixtures render the house quite cinematic today: 

On the ground floor, an entry foyer opens onto the living room, featuring large bay windows and a working fireplace with a marble mantle, as well as a library with built-in bookshelves and a wet bar (see top image). Book club, anyone?
