Introducing BrickUnderground's Renter Referral Program

By Teri Karush Rogers| June 6, 2011 - 8:15AM

BrickUnderground officially kicks off our Renter Referral Program today, a new referral service designed to take the Russian Roulette out of finding a good Manhattan rental agent.

The premise is pretty simple: Rather than find an agent by clicking on random apartment listings or walking into the nearest brokerage, renters will be paired up with someone who not only knows what to do, but wants to do the best job possible in order to remain in BrickUnderground's referral network.

Renters pay nothing to participate in the program; referral and advisory services are paid for by in-network brokers in the form of a standard referral fee.

That's Phase 1.

Ultimately, with enough traction, our goal is to leverage the power of large numbers of referrals to incentivize widespread positive change in the renter/agent relationship. Which is why we hope that even if you're not in the market right now, you'll spread the word to your friends and click on that Facebook Like button up top.
