The town of New Hope, Pennsylvania—located in Bucks County, close to the state's southeastern corner—is one of the loveliest spots in the region, thanks to its expansive views of the Delaware River, and thriving arts and cultural scene. 

There's a lot of history here. New Hope is near Washington Crossing Park, where George Washington famously crossed the Delaware River during the American Revolution. And New Hope has a fairly good culinary scene, with eateries like the Salt House, which serves up "elevated" pub fare in a former colonial salt shop; and Nektar Wine Bar, a lovely wine and tapas spot located across the street from the Playhouse.
