Storage complex
Stor age com plex - n. 1. A sense of inferiority derived from another's basement storage bin, the contents of which telegraph an organizational prowess or lifestyle superior to one's own. 2. A disproportionate number of storage bins amassed by a longtime co-op or condo resident, typically an ex-board member.
1. Roxanne, a single mom who barely had time to take her two boys to the bathroom let alone the greater outdoors, tried to avoid glancing into the storage bin next to hers, lest the intimidating lineup of skis, sleds, and sporting gear give her a storage complex.
2. Doug's storage complex stirred resentment among the newer residents, most of whom were still on the waiting list, but his close ties to the super and the board persuaded them to simmer out of earshot.
