If you're looking to rent in a waterfront building, this no-fee one-bedroom, one-bath apartment, 345 South End Ave., #6C, in Battery Park City, might fit the bill. It's renting for $4,040, which is just above the neighborhood's median for one bedrooms, currently $3,688, according to RealtyHop.

Located in Gateway, a six-building residential development, the 764-square-foot apartment is in Building 100, which has 66 apartments across six floors.

Amenities include an outdoor pool, fitness center, and garage parking for an extra fee—plus landscaped grounds, a rooftop terrace, resident lounge, co-working space, children's playroom, 24-hour attended lobby, and laundry facilities. Pets are welcome, but there's a two pet and 50-pound limit per apartment.

The photos below are of the development's model apartment intended to show the finishes and layout of apartment #6C.
