A balcony and private roof deck add to this rental's appeal.

Stribling

The $2,900 asking rent of this Park Slope one bedroom, one bath seems a bit steep given how small it is, but a private roof deck and balcony add appeal—and square footage.

The location is decent, too: The apartment is three blocks from the F, G, and R trains at Fourth Avenue-Ninth Street, and four long blocks from Prospect Park.

The open plan living room opens onto the balcony. The apartment is on the top floor, so it gets a fair amount of light light. The kitchen makes clever use of limited space with well-placed cabinets. The stone countertops and backsplash are stylish, and the appliances are high-end. On the downside, there isn't much room for a kitchen table, though in the warm weather you could always host gatherings outside.

You can also access the balcony from the bedroom, which has a large closet. The adjacent bathroom has a tub with air jets.

The roof deck is 200 square feet, with room for lounging and landscaping (it shares space with the building mechanicals). Other apartment perks include an in-unit washer and dryer, and central air and heat. The building has four units in all and was built in 2012. It has a part-time super, and pets are permitted.
