Apply to rent a Longwood, the Bronx, apartment for $548 a month and up

Applications are open for 191 apartments in two new buildings at 1000 Fox St. (The Hemlock) and 960 Simpson St. (The Mulberry) in the Longwood section of the Bronx through the city housing lottery. The buildings are one block apart.

The apartments are studios, one bedrooms, two bedrooms, and three bedrooms set aside for people in several income brackets spanning $20,675-$121,000 for households of one to six individuals, with rents starting at $548 for a studio.

The buildings’ amenities listed include laundry, bicycle storage, and community rooms, with a gym and parking available for an additional fee.

Both buildings are located between Westchester Avenue and East 163rd Street, and are smoke free. Nearby trains are the Simpson Street station for the 2 and 5 at Westchester Avenue, and the Hunts Point Avenue 6 train stop.

The Hemlock and Mulberry are considered one affordable rental community, and your rental application will be for both buildings.
