If you’re hunting for a New York City rental now, keep in mind that you’re going to be spending more time inside for the near future, and extra storage space is more important than ever.

Perhaps you need a spot to store the bike that you bought to get exercise (or avoid the subway), somewhere to house your stockpile of groceries (or booze), or you might need a storage locker so you can make room in your apartment for a new home office. Either way, if you are in the market for a rental in the city, storage and closet space is probably more of a priority than before.

If you look hard enough, you can find a variety of rentals city-wide that have built-in bookshelves or storage, extra cabinets in the kitchen, large closets, or are in a building with amenities like a storage locker and bike room.
