Applications are open for 38 discounted apartments in a new building in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn through the city housing lottery. 

The apartments are studios and one and two bedrooms at 555 Waverly Ave., set aside for households making $27,086-$57,240 a year. Rents start at $735, for a studio. The building is eight stories tall at the highest points and has 190 apartments in all. The remainder of the units will rent for market rates. The building is described as having a roof deck, a gym, bike storage, a tenant lounge, and for an additional fee, parking.

The building is at Atlantic Avenue, two blocks from the Clinton-Washington C station, and nine blocks from Atlantic Terminal. It's also close to stores, restaurants, and bars on Fulton Street and Washington and Vanderbilt avenues.
