If your family needs more space and privacy while everyone works and studies from home, you might want to consider a Brooklyn townhouse. Renting an entire townhouse is pricey, but a good option if you want more room and don’t want to buy or move to the suburbs.

On average, Brooklyn townhouse rentals are less expensive than ones in Manhattan. And they fit the needs of the Covid era: Your living space is spread across multiple levels, plus there’s private outdoor space, your own washer and dryer, and often room for home offices. You’ll also have more peace of mind than in a large apartment building since you won’t have to share common spaces and elevators with neighbors.

So, if you’re looking to rent an entire townhouse, here are five townhouses for rent in Carroll Gardens, Park Slope, Red Hook, Windsor Terrace, and Weeksville.

105 2nd St., Carroll Gardens

This four-bedroom, three-bath townhouse is asking $11,000. It was renovated in 2012 and features white-oak hardwood floors, radiant-heated floors, floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors, a fireplace, chef’s kitchen with Miele appliances, and multiple outdoor spaces including a backyard, balcony, and roof deck. Whole Foods, Bond Street Coffee, and Carroll Park are nearby.

592 3rd St., Park Slope

This five-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath townhouse is asking $10,500. The renovated townhouse has hardwood floors, two wood-burning fireplaces, central air conditioning, built-in bookshelves, an eat-in kitchen with stainless steel appliances, three outdoor spaces, and a finished basement with a kitchenette. Prospect Park, Brooklyn Public Library, and Barnes & Noble are nearby.

113A King St., Red Hook

This five-bedroom, three-bath townhouse is asking $9,500. It has hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows, a gas fireplace, laundry room, stainless steel Bosch and Thermador appliances, a roof deck, backyard, and a curb-cut driveway. Baked, Fort Defiance, and Red Hook Lobster Pound are nearby.

401A Prospect Ave., Windsor Terrace

This three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath townhouse is asking $7,500. The two-story townhouse features hardwood floors, large windows, recessed lighting, stainless steel appliances, tons of closets, an office, and a backyard with a patio. 1218 St. Marks Ave., Weeksville

This three-bedroom, two-bath townhouse is asking $4,500. It’s a two-family townhouse being rented as one and has hardwood floors, a decorative fireplace, two full kitchens, a laundry and storage room, Slomin’s home security system, and a large decked backyard.
