Apply to rent a Bronx apartment for as little as $1,450 a month

Applications are open for five discounted rental apartments in a new building in Allerton, the Bronx through the city housing lottery.

The apartments are one and two bedrooms in a four-story, 15-apartment building at 2547 Cruger Ave. The lottery units are set aside for households making $49,715-$124,020, with rents set at $1,450 for the one bedrooms, and $1,800 and $1,900 for the two bedrooms.

The building is around the corner from the Allerton Avenue 2 and 5 station, and near the New York Botanical Garden.
