Applications for 110 newly constructed affordable housing units have just opened up in Wingate, the third phase of the CAMBA gardens project, which aims to provide affordable, sustainable housing at the site of the former Kings County Hospital psych ward. The units are located at 560 Winthrop Street in Brooklyn, with apartments ranging from $822/month studios to $1228/month three-bedrooms for renters with household incomes between $29,692 and $63,060, depending on household size.

See below for the full list of apartment sizes, prices, and income requirements:

According to the listing, the building will include on-site laundry, community rooms, computer and recreational rooms, and bike parking. Once finished, the complex will meet NYSERDA’s energy-efficiency standards, fulfilling CAMBA's goal to be a "sustainable neighborhood asset".

Preference for half the rentals will be given to residents of Brooklyn's Community Boards 9 and 17, and applications are due no later than September 12th. If you're interested, apply online via NYC Housing Connect, or request a physical application by mailing a self-addressed envelope to CAMBA Gardens Phase II, P.O. Box 1166, New York, NY 10039.
