Rent in Brooklyn's tallest tower, starting at $833 per month
Applications are now open for 150 affordable apartments, ranging from studios to two-bedrooms, in the Hub, a new rental tower slated for downtown Brooklyn. The development is aptly named: Located at 333 Schermerhorn Street, it's in walking distance from nearly every subway line, including the many transit options at Atlantic Terminal. BAM and Fort Greene Park are also close by.
The 56-story building will also become the tallest in the borough, reports the Brooklyn Daily Eagle, and 20 percent of its 750 units will go to New Yorkers earning 60 percent of the area median income. The apartments range in price from $833 to $1,082 per month for households earning between $29,898 and $54,360 a year, depending on size. See below for more details:
Amenities include 24-hour concierge service, as well as a gym, pool, children's playroom, dog run, and shared landscaped terrace, though enjoying some of these may require paying a fee. Each apartment also includes access to bike storage. Half of these units will be set aside for current residents of the neighborhoood, which in this case falls under Brooklyn's Community Board 2.
