Apply to rent an apartment in Bushwick for as little as $913 a month

100 discounted apartments are available in a new building in Bushwick through the city's housing lottery.

The apartments are studios and one and two bedrooms in the building at 10 Montieth St., set aside for households making $33,189-$62,580 a year. Rents start at $913 a month, for a studio. Another 300 or so apartments in the building will rent at market rates.

The building is part of a controversial new complex on the site of the defunct Rheingold Brewery. The building is supposed to have a live-in super, a mail room, laundry, a gym, climbing wall, a squash court, a sauna, bike storage, storage, a courtyard, a rec room, a kids playroom, an office center, art studios, a movie room, roof decks, a cafe, a spa, yoga and dance studios, and parking. Tenants have to pay additional fees to access the amenities.

The building is five blocks from the Flushing Avenue J, M, Z station, and eight blocks from the Morgan Avenue L station. There are lots of bars, restaurants, and stores along Flushing, Morgan, and Knickerbocker avenues, as well as Broadway.
