As part of the ongoing boom of new development in Astoria and Long Island City, applications just opened for six affordable rentals in 28-22 Astoria Boulevard, per a new listing posted this week on NYC Housing Connect.

The apartments are a mix of studios and one-bedrooms, geared toward renters with annual household incomes between $39,703 and $58,000; the full list of apartment prices, sizes, and income requirements can be found below:

The building is set to feature laundry as well as retail space, according to DNAinfo, and for extra fees, the listing notes that renters can gain access to parking, storage, rooftop space, and bike storage. As usual with these types of buildings, preference for half of the affordable rentals will go to current neighborhood residents, in this case those who live in Queens Community Board 1.

If you're interested and think you qualify, you can create a profile and apply online via NYC Housing Connect, or request a paper application by sending a self-addressed envelope to 28-22 Astoria LLC, c/o SJP Tax Consultants Inc., 149-41 14th Avenue, Whitestone NY 11357. (Note: don't send in more than one application, or else you could be disqualified altogether.) Applications are due October 3rd.
