5 Brooklyn two bedrooms renting for less than $2,500 a month

The average rent for a two bedroom in Brooklyn is a steep $3,363 a month, according to a recent Douglas Elliman report. But that doesn’t mean you’re doomed if your budget is significantly less. Here are five places across the borough that can be yours for under $2,500 a month.

4103 Seventh Ave., Sunset Park

This newly renovated two bedroom, one bath (also shown at top) is listed for $2,295 a month. The apartment has in-unit laundry, Sunset Park views, and three closets. Heat and hot water are included. It's in a four-story, 20-apartment building. There’s no broker’s fee and guarantors are permitted, but all pets must be approved before they can move in.

126 Malcolm X Blvd., Bedford-Stuyvesant

This ground floor two bedroom, one bath has an open kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counterts, hardwood flooring throughout, new windows, private outdoor space, and in-unit laundry. The building is pet-friendly with a common garden and a voice intercom system. The apartment is listed at $2,450 a month and there’s no broker’s fee.
