$1,000 one bedrooms in Clinton Hill are now available through the NYC housing lottery

Seventeen one-bedrooms in Clinton Hill are now available through the city housing lottery.

The apartments at 10 Lexington Ave. are renting for $1,1015, and are reserved for single people making $34,800-40,080, and two-family households making $34,800-$45,840.

The units are part of a recently constructed 81-apartment complex that is advertised as including a gym, roof terrace, laundry room and lounge.

The building opened to market-rate renters around this time last year, before the owners had obtained a certificate of occupancy, and before much of the finishing construction had been completed. At the time, a promised roof deck, courtyard, and other amenities were nowhere to be found, and some new tenants' apartments looked liked construction sites even after they moved in.

All this may well have been resolved (photos on StreetEasy seem to indicate that there's a courtyard now), but as with any apartment, even the "lucky" applicants who snag these units should do their due diligence before signing a lease.

If you're interested and think you might qualify for one of these buildings, you can create a profile and apply online via NYC Housing Connect. Don't apply more than once, or you could be disqualified.
