My mother used to spend her summers and occasional weekends in Morris County, New Jersey, located about 25 miles east of New York City. Denville, considered the hub of Morris County, thanks to its numerous transportation options, is an artsy 17,000-person township, offering up breweries, spas, art studios, and a thriving farmer's market, in addition to easy access to lakes, woods, and hiking trails.
