Cold Spring is one of those endlessly charming Hudson River towns that also happens to be close enough to the city (just over an hour via MetroNorth from Grand Central) that having a weekend house there doesn't feel like a major schlep.

And for less than the price of your average two-bedroom co-op in Manhattan (or $1.2 million to be exact) this three-bedroom, three-bath over 3,000-square-foot house offers the perfect weekend and year-long getaway.

There are a lot of things to like here. Namely, the setting, surrounded by amazing gardens and views that are sure to delight any city-dweller. Plus, you can take in those views from a large deck or slate patio, or even from inside a pool.

Inside, there are cathedral ceilings in the living room that make it all extra unique. There's also a fireplace for cooler months.

The walk-in closet above is the stuff city-dwellers' dreams are made of.

Can we talk about this pool and adjacent pool house for a second? We honestly can't think of a better spot to spend the rest of our summer weekends.

Thanks to its close proximity to NYC (not to mention there's a public transportation option to get there!) and both it's impressive interiors and exteriors, we're thinking this might very well be the dream weekend home for a New Yorker with some cash to burn.
