It could use some updates, but it's big.

Yearn to live the good life by the docks in Red Hook and enjoy the neighborhood's funky collection of shops, bars, and restaurants? Consider this two-family 1899 townhouse at 92 Pioneer St., listed for $1,650,000.

The listing photos show the owner's two-bedroom, one-and-a-half bath duplex. It has a sizable living room and an eat-in kitchen, the later of which measures 14 by 17 feet. There's also a washer-dryer on the first floor.

The apartment's two bedrooms are upstairs, and a skylight lets light in. The hardwood floors look to be in good shape.

The garden rental, a one bedroom, isn't shown, so we're guessing it's occupied or needs some work.

The listing says there's a possibility for parking for two cars, which is especially helpful in the transit-starved neighborhood. (While Red Hook is served by bus lines; the closest subway stop is the F and G at Smith-Ninth Street, three quarters of a mile away.)

The sunken patio is snow-covered in the pictures, but could be a nice place to grill and enjoy a glass of wine in warmer months.
