What you can buy in NYC if you've got $100,000 in the bank

It's no secret that the down payment is often the biggest hurdle for would-be buyers hoping to enter the market in New York City. While some condos will let you make a purchase for 10 percent down, many co-ops and condos require a down payment of at least 20 percent, which can add up to a large chunk of change.

For this week's price check, we're looking at options for buyers who have a cool $100,000 ready to offer as a down payment, which will net you apartments in the $500,000 range in buildings asking 20 percent, and the $1 million range in buildings that require just 10 percent down. (This is assuming your financials allow you to pass the bank's scrutiny and, in the case of co-ops, a board's.) Here are your options in all five boroughs:
