Buyers and renters know there are deals in New York City right now—but where exactly? And how do you find them? In this episode of the podcast, John Walkup, co-founder of the real estate analytics firm UrbanDigs, provides some context for what’s happening in the market right now.

Walkup also has advice for buyers about how to identify a motivated seller. Has the listing gone through multiple price cuts or is it newly listed? Is it staged or lived in? How many names did you spot on the sign in sheet when you visited the property? All these details are your clues to whether you'll get a coveted one-on-one negotiation with a seller.

What will be the long-term impact of shifts in workplace culture and what changes might it bring to the city’s neighborhoods? And which of the city's neighborhoods are more resilient to price fluctuations? These are some of the issues explored in this episode of the podcast.
