Not to jinx it, but the recent spate of practically perfect weather in NYC has us on the lookout for apartments with great outdoor spaces, and this one in Long Island City fits the bill. Inside, the two-bedroom, two-bath is largely what you'd expect from a luxury, new-ish development, but at 1,600 square feet, its huge backyard goes above and beyond. The manicured green space comes with a patio that's primed for summer parties, and the building's location just off Vernon Boulevard makes it easy to move gatherings to one of the many nearby bars when you want some peace and quiet at home.

Listed by Citi Habitats for $1.595 million, the unit's price is a bit above those of other two-bedroom condos in the area, according to a StreetEasy search, but most other LIC spots won't have as large an outdoor area.

The layout of the apartment is such that the living room and both bedrooms open directly onto the backyard, and large windows and glass doors mean plenty of natural light throughout. The open kitchen looks efficient and sleek, with high-end appliances and countertops, and room to have your morning coffee at its island.

The two bedrooms are at opposite sides of the apartment and each has its own en-suite bath, helpful for maintaining some privacy. The master includes a walk-in closet, and its bath features double sinks and a spacious shower; the second bedroom comes with a large closet and built-in bookcases.

Along with your ready-for-sunbathing patio and lawn, the building offers doorman service, a children's playroom, cold storage, and a roof deck; the 7 train at Vernon-Jackson is two blocks away, and warm weather hangouts like waterfront parks and the LIC Flea are close, too.
