This one bedroom comes with private laundry, but it's in the basement.

Bold New York

Two things stand out at this one-bedroom condo, 121 Kingsland Ave., #3A, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn: the price and the light.

Listed for $659,000, this apartment is priced below the median for one bedrooms in the neighborhood, which is $899,000, according to StreetEasy. Granted, it isn’t located in prime Williamsburg—it’s near the borders of Greenpoint and East Williamsburg, but that’s not a bad deal, especially considering it comes with outdoor space.

There’s also central air conditioning, and a balcony off the living room, which has floor-to-ceiling windows and a built-in TV stand/entertainment center.

The modern kitchen has gray lacquer and glass cabinetry, stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher), and a wine refrigerator. The apartment also comes with a private washer/dryer, but it’s located in the basement.

The Jacuzzi tub, complete with its own step, and separate shower are enclosed behind glass.

The bedroom also has floor-to-ceiling windows—which are soundproofed—and comes with built-in bedside tables and cabinets, as well as a California-style closet.

The balcony measures approximately 75 square feet.

The pet-friendly building has eight units and was completed in 2007. Amenities include a roof deck. Monthly common charges are $303. Monthly taxes are $13, and are abated until 2026.

The closest subway stop is the Graham Avenue L train station, about a half mile away. Slightly further is the G train at Nassau Avenue. The BQE entrance/exit is within three blocks. Also nearby are three parks: McCarren, McGolrick, and Cooper.

The L train will shut down for 15 months beginning in April 2019. In its place will be new and expanded bus service, and expanded service for the G train.
