You won't find an apartment much closer to Prospect Park than this two-bedroom co-op, literally steps from the gorgeous greenspace's southwest corner. The home's location in prime Park Slope also means proximity to several subway stops—the 15th Street F/G is a two-minute walk away—as well as all the entertainment the family-centric neighborhood has to offer. The unit itself is in a limestone building that was built in 1920; its facade features intricate prewar details, while the interiors have been spruced up through a recent renovation.

The co-op is listed at $909,000 by Town Residential, a touch lower than the median for the neighborhood. This might be due to the space's long and narrow railroad-style layout (see the floorplan below), but note that just three years ago, the apartment sold for $300,000 less, so it has already appreciated significantly.

The bay windows in the living room are a classic, prewar touch, though a potential downside is that it looks like it might be tough to squeeze a dining area here. The space flows into the remodeled kitchen, which features stainless steel appliances, black granite countertops, and a striking tile backsplash. There's also plenty of cabinet storage, a dishwasher, and a washer and dryer in the room. The listing notes that you'll find an eat-in area as well.

The two bedrooms are off a long hallway, providing more privacy than many other railroads. The spacious master has windows at both ends of the space, bringing in lots of natural light, as well as a walk-in closet. It shares a bath with the smaller second bedroom, which comes with its own large closet and south-facing windows.

You'll find more closet space in the apartment's hallway, and you'll also have access to the building's furnished roof deck and its Prospect Park views. While the unit's layout does pose some constraints, you'll have tons of room to roam once you step outside.
