360 Central Park West is one of those New York buildings that has undergone several incarnations. The property was a church until 1929, when it was converted to apartments under the direction of Rosario Candela, a Sicilian-born architect celebrated for creating some of the city's most striking residences. Then, last year, Argo Real Estate announced it would convert the rentals into condos, which have recently come onto the market.

Renovations by CetraRuddy Architects preserved the building's exterior; inside, apartments offer bright and airy floor plans, plus views of the Central Park reservoir. This four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom condo is listed by Stribling for $4.9 million, a price point that's a given for such a coveted location.

The images are from a model apartment and reflect the finishes and fixtures you can expect, though the layout of the actual unit may vary. Throughout, you'll find new oak wood floors and large, light-filledrooms; this unit's living, dining, and master bedrooms all face the park.

The kitchen in this apartment is off the dining room, and features marble countertops and backsplashes; a sizeable island adds counter space, and a large pantry provides extra storage, in addition to elegant glass cabinets. The bathrooms similarly include upscale fixtures and finishes, and deep soaking tubs.

The master bedroom has a walk-in closet and en suite bath with double sinks, and the other three bedrooms each have their own full bath as well. There's a washer and dryer in the unit, and residents have access to amenities like a playroom, gym, additional storage, and, most amusingly, pet grooming services--the latter may come in handy if your pooch gets a bit messy after a walk in the park. There don't appear to be any outdoor space in the building, but with Central Park as your front yard, who needs it?
