This week brokers told us that people priced out of Manhattan and the closer-in parts of Brooklyn are looking to Bay Ridge for a slower pace, and, importantly, the relative affordability that comes with a longer commute into the city. The neighborhood is home to prewar co-op buildings near the water, more and less elegant townhouses and detached houses, and a handful of new-ish condo buildings.

For those buyers who are interested in a closer look, here are five places of various kinds that are listed for sale and having open houses this weekend.
