This weekend's NYC-based Instagram feeds were awash in snowy pics after winter storm Jonas put a halt to the city, clearing the streets of traffic and blanketing it with an excess of 28 inches of snow. We'll be digging out and dealing with some of the unpleasant aftermath for days—Queens, for instance, unfortunately has many streets still waiting for plows to come through, according to the New York Post—but before the snow all turns to slush, we rounded up scenes from the weekend from some of the city's Instagrammers (including one YouTuber who snowboarded throughout the city), who've captured a city at a strange—and rare—near-standstill, muted yet still pulsing with activity.
