Homes along the proposed streetcar route you may want to check out this weekend

If Mayor Bill De Blasio's Brooklyn-Queens streetcar plan happens, we'd imagine that real estate prices in those neighborhoods—including Astoria, Sunset Park, Greenpoint and more—will skyrocket. And since a project like this likely wouldn't be completed for about eight more years, now might be the time to get in cheap.

Now some of these are not exactly steals right now, but, hey,  in New York City real estate, the sky's the limit. And we'd happily trade our subterranean subway commute for a futuristic-looking over-ground streetcar.

Here are five homes that could very well find themselves along the trolley route.

2323 31st Avenue, Apartment 2C. This one-bedroom Astoria condo has an open kitchen with stainless appliances and a private balcony. The apartment also comes with a parking spot. Asking price: $585,000. Open house: Saturday, February 13, 3 pm to 3:45 pm.

613 40th Street. This two-family home in Sunset Park has two apartments with two bedrooms each, as well as a finished basement. Buyers can combine the apartments and even expand on the house. Asking price: $1.75 million. Open house: Saturday, February 13 12 noon to 1 pm, Sunday, February 14, 12 noon to 2 pm.

3540 30th Street, Apartment 2G. Long Island City is already a hot neighborhood, but we'd imagine it can get hotter, too. This new construction one-bedroom condo has oversized double pane windows throughout and a walk-in closet in the bedroom. The building has a gym, gaming lounge and several outdoor spaces. Asking price: $790,000. Open house: Saturday, February 13, 12 noon to 1:30 p.m.

190 West Street, Apartment 14. Okay, okay, we realize that over-$4 million is more of a post-streetcar price, but we had to include this gorgeous three-bedroom penthouse condo loft in Greenpoint. It has more than 3,000 square feet and a private elevator that opens directly onto the apartment. Asking price: $4.25 million. Open house: Sunday, February 14, 1 pm to 2:30 pm.
