Applications are now open for affordable rentals as cheap as $494/month at 21 Commercial Street, part of the controversial new Greenpoint Landing development, per a listing on NYC Housing Connect.

All told, there are 92 apartments available, ranging from $494/month studios to $1,025/month two-bedrooms, for applicants with annual household incomes between $18,309 and $51,780, depending on family and apartment size. See below for the full breakdown of apartment sizes, prices, and income requirements (click to enlarge):

All told, Greenpoint Landing will consist of 10 buildings and 5,500 apartments, with 1,400 affordable apartments in the mix, as Curbed has reported. According to the listings, amenities at 21 Commercial Street will include a live-in super, laundry room, "landscaped community courtyard & fitness room," and for an extra fee, a bike room.

Per usual with these kinds of developments, half of the apartments will be set aside for current residents of Brooklyn's CB1, which comprises much of Williamsburg and Greenpoint. If you think you qualify, you can create a profile and apply via NYC Housing Connect, or request a paper applications by sending a self-addressed envelope to 21 Commercial St LLC, Hellgate Station, PO Box 1208, New York, NY 10029. The deadline for applications is February 3, 2016.
