Get your exposed brick fix in a former Williamsburg factory

Converted factory? Check. Exposed brick? Check. Sky-high price tag? Goes without saying.

This $5,500/month two-bedroom penthouse in the Soda Factory Lofts may be peak Williamsburg real estate, especially given its location just a few blocks away from the Bedford stop at Berry and North 10th, but it's also everything you could ever want in a loft space.

The high ceilings and exposed brick carry over into the bedroom, and the open kitchen and its finishes, though a bit standard-issue new development loft material (translation: non-specific in feel) are swank.

Grab a couple of stools, and that countertop could easily be made into a breakfast bar (or bar bar area):

As for the bathroom, its decked out in black tile, with double sinks, retro-chic features, and a separate glass-doored shower, as well as a soaking tub:

The real draw to the apartment—a private terrace—isn't pictured, and the building also has a residents' lounge, common roof deck, a gym, virtual doorman, and a welcoming policy towards dogs and cats.

But alert: The building is offering an 18-month lease, meaning that if you rent for the given December 1st start date, your lease will eventually be up at the beginning of June, the most expensive season to re-enter the rental market (or negotiate a lease renewal).
