What you’ll get across NYC for $3,500 a month

Though $3,500 a month may not be the most generous rental budget these days, it’ll still afford you a chance to live in nearly any borough in NYC. In fact, three-bedroom townhouses are options in Queens and the Bronx, while mostly two-bedrooms, one-bedrooms and studios are available in Brooklyn and Manhattan. 

UPPER WEST SIDE, MANHATTAN: A furnished studio on a high floor of a doorman building with a gym and a pool at 212 West 91st Street (between Broadway and Amsterdam avenues). $3,499/month (short-term rentals available for one month or more, tax applicable for any stays less than 180 days)

HELL'S KITCHEN, MANHATTAN: A recently renovated prewar one-bedroom condo with a windowed kitchen and a separate dining area in a building with a part-time doorman and laundry on site at 300 West 53rd Street (between Eighth and Ninth avenues). $3,499/month
