UPPER WEST SIDE, MANHATTAN: A one-bedroom, one-bath corner unit with a renovated eat-in kitchen and prewar details including refinished hardwood floors on a high floor of an elevator building at 878 West End Avenue (at West 103rd) that allows pets on a case-by-case basis. $3,500/month

CENTRAL HARLEM, MANHATTAN: A three-bedroom, two-bath condo with a full-size washer and dryer and 14-foot ceilings in an elevator building that’s a three-minute walk from the A, B, C and D trains and five minutes to the 1 and 3 trains at 313 West 143rd Street (between Bradhurst and Frederick Douglass Boulevard). $3,500/month, heat, hot water and cooking gas included, no broker's fee
