Applications opened yesterday for 200 affordable rentals at City Point Tower One in Downtown Brooklyn, according to a listing on NYC Housing Connect. The building is part of the three-tower City Point "megaproject," as Curbed terms it, and it was announced last month that Tower One will be 80 percent affordable.

The building is pet-friendly, and amenities include an attended lobby and on-site manager, roof top terraces, and a laundry room on each floor, as well as a fitness center, play room, lounge, and "cinema" available for additional fees. (And presumably the apartments are devoid of the weird ghost people that seem to haunt all the renderings.)

Apartments are available for applicants in a wide range of income brackets; there are studios for $500 and $651 a month for single people making between $18,515 and $24,200 or $23,692 and $30,250, respectively; one-bedrooms priced at $539, $699, and $2,038; and two-bedrooms at $655, $849, $2,455, for a range of incomes between $19,852 and $142,395, depending on apartment and family size. (The full list of available apartments can be found here.) Preference for half of the apartments will be given to current area residents of Brooklyn's CB2 district, which encompasses Downtown Brooklyn.

You can apply online by making a profile and submitting an application through NYC Housing Connect, or request a paper application by sending a self-addressed envelope or postcard to : City Point Tower I, P.O. Box 1166, New York, NY 10039. Applications are due September 24th.
