The city's soon-to-open micro apartment complex has gotten a lot of attention recently, but similar tiny-but-tidy-style apartments are already up for grabs across the city. Take this $2,395 Upper West Side studio: It's less than 400 square feet, but has high-end appliances and nice touches like a Queen-sized Murphy bed and built-in shelves that help maximize the space. It feels like an extremely high-end dorm room to us.

Smart design elements -- like a Murphy bed, seen here folded up -- help make more space out of less.

The kitchen's got small appliances designed to accommodate a single person. There's even a dishwasher tucked under the sink, a tiny stove that doubles as a microwave, and for those who appreciate luxury finishes,  CaesarStone countertops and a glass mosaic backsplash.

Plus,  it's a relative bargain for the building, considering that a two-room studio in the building is going for over $1,000 more a month (plus there's no broker's fee). Note: There are four similar units available for rent in the building, from $2,295-$2,890.

The bathroom also has high-end finishes, like Italian stone.

When the apartment starts to feel small, which we can only imagine it will, there are lots of building amenities to keep you outside of it for a bit, including a roof lounge and sun deck, a gym and residents' lounge with a pool table.
