Live on Central Park West -- for under $350,000

An apartment on Central Park West comes with certain bragging rights, usually in exchange for a through-the-roof price tag. But this  $349,000 studio gives you a tony address without breaking the bank. You get the opportunity to live across from Central Park (at West 82nd Street) and on one of the city's best avenues — you'll have to make do with a half-fridge and a shower (sans bathtub), though.

The 10th-floor apartment has three windows, western views (in other words, city, not park, views), and a kitchen with marble counters and stainless appliances, like the aforementioned mini fridge. The beamed ceilings are high, plus the wood floors are new, and there's a walk-in closet.

The bathroom has a window, but if you're a bath person, you're out of luck.

The 1925  building, called The Alden, and located at 82nd Street, was designed by famed architect Emery Roth. It's got 24-hour doormen and concierge, a roof deck, garage and bike room.
