Buy a studio in Manhattan for $300K or under: this weekend's best budget-friendly open houses

In this new feature, we pick properties for you to check out on open-house weekends.

Anywhere else, $300,000 would buy you a house. But in this fair city, even a mighty fine studio is a stretch, especially in Manhattan. These apartments do ring in under that figure, and are hosting open houses this weekend.

509 East 88th Street, #5A, Yorkville. Adorable, plus the kitchen and bathroom have been made over. Asking price: $275,000 Open house: Sunday, March 22, 1 pm to 2 pm.

25 Tudor City Place, #1415, Midtown East. The bathroom in this Tudor City studio has been renovated, and the closets—there are three!—are plentiful. Asking price: $285,000 Open house: Sunday, March 22, 1 pm to 2 pm.
