Playwright John Patrick Shanley plumbs Williamsburg for characters

WHO:  Award-winning playwright John Patrick Shanley recently tweeted that he would vote for anyone who can explain his electric bill to him. That’s it? We would vote for someone who could pay our electric bill, the rent and the gas and take our clothes to the laundromat. And that’s just for starters.

WHERE: Shanley, whose play Danny and the Deep Blue Sea is being revived for its 30th anniversary, lives in Williamsburg, where the median asking price is $1.295 million and the median rent is $3,300/month, according to StreetEasy.
