Space-saving sponge and dishtowel holders, no nails required

Leave it to the Scandinavians to come up with simple designs that work well in small New York apartments. The magnetic cloth rails and sponge holders from Danish home product maker Reenbergs secure your dishwashing tool of choice in place in the sink using magnets. No more need to perch a wet sponge on the counter or punch holes in your wall (which landlords don't like) to hang up a dishtowel. One model is flexible enough to fit into a sink's corners--a bonus for saving space.

One model is a rack that holds a dishtowel...

The company, which also designs magnetic racks for walls and adjustable straps to hold shampoo bottles in place on shower walls, is angling to raise $20,000 on Indiegogo by June 18, at which point, if they're successful, the products will be available to an international. For now, you can get an assortment of their wares for a donation starting at $25.

...while another variation snugly holds a sponge
