Hundreds of exhibitors from all corners of the home decor world descended upon the city's Pier 94 this weekend at the 13th annual Architectural Digest Home Design Show, their dining tables, rugs, stoves, flooring, lamps and all manner of furnishings in tow.

We spent Saturday afternoon walking the aisles and marveling at offerings both eye-catching (a high-backed purple velvet chair reminiscent of a Mad Hatter's tea party) and functional (a grill with separate surfaces for optimal cooking of meat, fish and veggies), on the lookout for ideas that could make their way to a New York City apartment.

A few items stuck out as being supremely suited to apartment living — if we had an unlimited budget. (One can dream, right?) See the slideshow above for more.
