With spring here and summer just around the corner, it’s no surprise that private outdoor space is on apartment buyers’ minds, and why not have an extra floor, too? This week’s roundup of the Most Wanted -- the 10 sales listings people browsing StreetEasy saved more often than any others this week--has got duplexes with private outdoor space.

In Hell's Kitchen, a two-bedroom, two-bathroom penthouse duplex co-op with an asking price of $850k offers a great chance to  enjoy the warm weather, because it features a terrace and roof deck. Located on West 40th Street and Ninth Avenue, the apartment has recently been well-renovated and comes with a washer-dryer. The common areas in the building have also been renovated. Maintenance is relatively low at $935/month, but the building is a walk-up.

You’ll have lots of access to the outdoors in a $1.095m one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath condo in an elevator building on Perry Street and Waverly Place in West Village. Not only does the duplex have a private terrace, but it also features a skylight in the master bedroom and unobstructed views extend to the Empire State Building. But it could use some TLC.

In Park Slope, Brooklyn, an $800k two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bathroom condo on 16th Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues is a duplex with a 24’ x 15’ secure private backyard. The apartment was renovated in 2008 and features a kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, nice finishes throughout and individually controlled heat and a/c for when you’re not outside in the garden. There’s also a side-by-side washer and dryer and three exposures, to the west, east and north.
