The StreetEasy Hot Dozen: 12 rentals that may or may not be available by the time you read this

Apartment buildings with a live-in supeintendent make city living a whole lot easier, and at least three apartments have them in this week's Hot Dozen--the 12 rental apartments Streeteasy.com visitors clicked on most often over the past seven days.

In the West Village, a one-bedroom apartment at 23 Grove Street and Bedford Street is listed at the relatively low price of $1,775/month with no broker's fee. Not only does the building have its own live-in super, but it also has an elevator. The apartment even comes with the option of being furnished. There are no interiors photos, and in combination with some rarely-seen language on a NYC rental listing--specifically, "the price is open to negotiation"--we suspect there may be an unpleasant surprise or two.

Only a few blocks away is a three-bedroom apartment at 322 West 11th Street and Greenwich Street listed at $3,500/month. The apartment is a walk-up (the ad doesn't list the floor) and features an eat-in kitchen, new hardwood floors, and exposed brick walls.

A three-bedroom apartment at 416 Lafayette Street and East 4th Street (pictured) is listed at $3,895 and has no broker fee--but, alas, the newly renovated space has already been rented. It's located within a stone's throw of Astor Place and Washington Square Park, so perhaps this one went to a few NYU students looking for a great share steps away from class.

If the apartment you like requires a guarantor that you don't have, see if the landlord accepts Insurent, a great solution from one of BrickUnderground's sponsors.
