A $3,740** one-bedroom is available on the 26th floor of the 76-story New York by Gehry tower at 8 Spruce St. And this apartment comes with bragging rights -- it’s in the tallest residential building in the Western Hemisphere, and bears the name of one of the world’s most famous living starchitects, Frank Gehry.

The facade resembles "undulating waves of stainless steel."

Pros: The apartment has a washer-dryer and central air, and amazing views thanks to the building’s signature bay windows.

The building’s amenities are ridiculous -- think 22,000 squre feet of indoor and outdoor amenities (including a fitness center, spa treatment suite, yoga and pilates rooms, a swimming pool with a retractable roof and a wraparound sundeck) and full concierge services.

The building is offering one month free on a 13 month lease.

Cons:
The neighborhood, just south of City Hall, is a bit desolate (though there's a primar --P.S. 397--on the bottom floors). Also, despite the building’s cachet, that’s a lot of money for a one-bedroom.

**Note that the StreetEasy listing says the apartment is $3,720. It is, in fact, going for $3,740, according to leasing agent Citi Habitats.
