Some people will do anything to live in NYC

With no employment prospects, a future NYC resident is looking for housing advice on wirednewyork.com.  The plan:  To live in a car and use a gym membership for showers until he finds a job. Not having the stomach for Craigslist, we checked out StreetEasy.com to get a sense of the minimum he'd have to spend to swap his proposed house-on-wheels for a room of his own. For $660 a month (the cheapest listing on StreetEasy), we found a "large carpeted room in a quaint vintage 3-family house" at 830 Prospect Place in Crown Heights, utilities included, no alternate side of the street parking necessary.
