On StreetEasy, a commenter purports to spot a trend involving an irrational desire for real estate by financially shaky middle aged women.  This does not go over particularly well. "Do you not know any reasonably successful women of any age who bought a home with their own money?" demands one commenter. "Yes," responds another. "They are called 'unattractive women.'  Attractive women can get men to pay their bills! Did you see this year's editiion of Fortune's '50 most powerful women in business'? For the first time ever, they left out pictures. THANK GOD! The last 10 yrs they published photos and it just proved my theory: These are women who had plenty of time to stay home and study on a saturday night!"  Thoughts?  (StreetEasy.com)
