Thank you to everyone who entered last week's Good Neighboring contest.

With Mother's Day coming up this weekend, we picked this matriarch-next-door tale from 25-year-old Upper East Side social media marketing consultant Natasha Attal. She wins a $25 Starbucks gift card.

Here's her story:

I live by myself in New York, away from my family in California.  One day I was super sick and my doormen had to bring me food.

My next door neighbor, who I didn't know very well except for chatting when I was moving in, saw and asked what was wrong.

She then took care of me for the next couple of days while I was sick in bed--she brought me Tylenol and tea and just checked up on me which was nice.   She wins the substitute mom award in my book.

More Good Neighboring:

This one goes way beyond sugar

Xanax, fire escape heroics, and a laundry surprise

Passport emergency solved
