An impossibly cool SoHo loft for when you've surpassed the starving artist stage of your career

Don't let the current layout of this SoHo loft limit you. With nearly 2,000 square feet of space, there's plenty of room to carve out a couple more bedrooms (right now there's only one). Or you could keep most of the apartment as an entertaining space, as it's laid out now.

We're loving the classic loft details in this penthouse co-op (which is being sold by Nest Seekers), such as 10- to 13-foot ceilings, exposed brick and exposed pipes. And there are a whopping eight windows and three skylights, plus six-inch wide-plank oak flooring, an open kitchen with Silestone countertops, and high-end appliances (including a vented Bosch range, a favorite among chefs).

The master bedroom suite has a bathroom that's seriously swanky, with floor-to-ceiling glass tile, a custom sink and vanity, and a glass enclosed "wet room" with a shower and an antique claw-foot tub. There's also a guest bedroom with—wait for it—a vented washer and dryer.

The landmarked, prewar, elevator building has terracotta and cast-iron detailing, and given its location at 75 Grand Street between Wooster and Greene, it's surrounded by cool boutiques. Restaurants like Balthazar and Dominique Ansel Bakery are nearby, too.

But this impossibly chic lifestyle is going to cost you. Asking price: $2.995 million.
