After a year of ups and downs, we could hardly blame you if you're fantasizing about the past. This two-bedroom rental could help you get there: The Central Park West apartment is in a Tudor-style building that stands apart from its limestone neighbors, and inside, there's plenty of historic charm.

You'll find details both beautiful and practical, from a foyer with marble floors to built-in wooden cabinetry. Listed by Kleier Residential for $5,700 per month, the apartment also boasts expansive views of park greenery.

You'll enter a foyer, where marble tile flooring in a harlequin pattern evokes classic New York. The prewar vibe continues in the living room, where six large windows give you ample opportunity to take in Central Park vistas. There's space for a dining area, as well as elegant built-in bookcases. The kitchen has been renovated, and its white cabinetry blends old-world style with the contemporary conveniences of stainless steel appliances.

The master bedroom looks fairly low on frills, though the listing notes that it offers loads of storage, thanks to a wall of three closets. Note, though, that there's no en-suite bath. The second bedroom offers more conveniences with a built-in wooden desk nook and a bay window; the bathroom has been recently revamped, with slate tiles continuing the classic aesthetic.

The building offers a number of amenities, including full-time doorman service and a live-in super, as well as laundry, a new gym, and a landscaped garden—although it's likely you'll be favoring nearby Central Park for your backyard.
