A South Dakota town is selling for $400,000. What does that get you in NYC?

We all know New York City is expensive, but we were recently made aware of just how out of whack prices are here compared to the rest of the country when news broke that an entire South Dakota town is on the market for $400,000. At last count, the average Manhattan apartment sold for $1.68 million. 

But in case you don't want to hightail it to Swett, S.D., an unincorporated 6.16-acre hamlet with a bar, a workshop, three trailers and a house, take a gander at what's available in the five boroughs for about the same price.
